Funkcija
[uredi | uredi izvor]Protein kodiran ovim genom član je porodice proteina APBB. Nalazi se u citoplazmi i veže se na unutarćelijski domen Alzheimerove bolesti prekursora beta-amiloidnog protein (APP), kao i za druge APP-u slične proteine. Smatra se da protein kodiran ovim genom može modulirati internalizaciju APP-a. Za ovaj gen je pronađeno više varijanti transkripta koje kodiraju nekoliko različitih izoformi.[6]
