Ovaj gen kodira člana Ca2+/kalmodulin ovisne protein-kinaze 1 potporodice serin/treonin kinaza. Kodirani protein može biti uključen u regulaciju funkcije granulocita putem transdukcije signala hemokina. Opisane su alternativno prerađene varijante transkripta koje kodiraju različite izoforme ovog gena.
