Magyar: Varasd vármegye címere
Varasd vármegye címerét 1763-ban Mária Terézia adományozta, amely címer azonos az örökös főispáni címet viselő család, a gróf Erdődyek címerével. A barokk keretes ovális pajzs negyedelt, boglárpajzsa kerek talpú. A pajzsot nyitott levélkorona díszíti.
  • Az első mezőben nyitott levélkoronás kiterjesztett szárnyú sas áll.
  • A második és harmadik mezőben két-két hullámos pólya között két-két lebegő csillag ragyog.
  • A negyedik mezejében faragott kőből rakott várfal áll kapuval, toronnyal, valószínűleg Varasd vára. A pártázattal ellátott tornyon két ablak látszik.
  • A boglárpajzs mezejében hármas halomból kiemelkedő barna, fél keréken növekvő szarvas látható a gróf monyorókeréki Erdődyek őseire, az erdődi Bakócz családra és címerére emlékezve.
A Száva és a Dráva közt fekvő Varasd vármegye Horvát-Szlavonország hatodik megyéje, így a Magyar Királyság autonóm része volt 1918-ig. A XIV. században a Bebek család tagjai viselték a főispáni tisztséget, de miután kegyvesztettek lettek, a Cilleiek lettek a cím örökösei, egészen a család kihalásáig. A Cilleiek kihalása 1456 tán Corvin János, majd Báthory István birtokolta a vármegyét, míg 1607-től a gróf Erdődy család annak 17 tagja viselte a címet egészen 1861-ig. Területe Varasd központtal 2507 km2. A trianoni békekötés (1920. jún. 4.) után az egész vármegyét a Szerb-Horvát-Szlovén Királysághoz csatolták. Jugoszlávia megszűnésével ma már Horvátország része.

Official coat of arms and flags, being defined in such a regulation, are thus in the public domain in Hungary, and also in the US, according to § 313.6(C)(2) Compendium of U.S. Copyright Office Practices, 3rd ed. 2014 (Compendium (Third)): "As a matter of longstanding public policy, the U.S. Copyright Office will not register a government edict that has been issued by any state, local, or territorial government, including legislative enactments, judicial decisions, administrative rulings, public ordinances, or similar types of official legal materials. Likewise, the Office will not register a government edict issued by any foreign government or any translation prepared by a government employee acting within the course of his or her official duties."
