Katepsin L (EC3.4.22.15, Aldrichina grahami cistein proteinaza) je značajan lizosomski is endopeptidazni enzim koji je uključen u inicijaciju razgradnje proteina.[1][2][3][4]
Član je familije peptidaza C1, koja ima značajnu ulogu u različitim procesima normalne lizosomne medijascije prometa protein, antigena, procesuiranja proproteina i apoptozi.[5] Katepsin L je nađen kod mnogih organizama, uključujući i ribe[6] ptice i sisare.[7]
