Transliteration[uredi izvor]
Привет. :-) Bosnian is a cousin language to other Slavic languages and it officially uses both Latin and Cyrillic script although in practice we use only Latin script. Regarding transliteration from Ukrainian, we don't have rules for that because our sole official orthography manual has been published in 1996 (we are waiting for a new version); that's why we still transliterate the Ukrainian and Belarussian names from their Russian forms. You can check Wikipedia in Serbian language, which uses Cyrillic and Latin script, for help regarding transliteration. I can give you some examples here: ц = c; ч = č; е (Russian; at the beginning of a word or syllable) = je (Евгений = Jevgenij); ле/ли, не/ни = lje/lji, nje/nji (although there are some exceptions); лы/ны = li/ni; я = ja (although the final я in female surnames is omitted: Богинская = Boginska /not Boginskaja/); ю = ju; э (Russian) = e; щ = šč (or št if it is from Bulgarian), й = i or j or is omitted (it depends on word itself; русский = ruski). We don't have equivalents for ъ or ь, so we don't transliterate them at all. Ukrainian has 3 letters i, so to speak (if I am not mistaken), but we can transliterate them in only one way: i (no matter which one is used in Ukrainian word). Also, ы is also i (язык = jezik /not jazik because this я is derived from ioticized nasal vowel ѩ, which gave different result in Bosnian/Croatian/Serbian/Montenegrin than in Eastern Slavic languages). I hope this will be helpful for you. Ukrajinske oblasti[uredi izvor]
Sorry, but I just deleted every article about Ukrainian oblasts because they all were the same and too short (2–3 sentences don't make an article; see the explanation for deleting in the summary box also). Last year we have started this project ("Project of cleaning/deleting and saving articles") with intention to improve quality, not quantity of articles in BS Wiki, so articles like these about oblasts are not acceptable anymore. :-( Unfortunately, we are still small Wiki with 10–15 regular users and we simply don't have enough people or time to cover everything. – KWiki (razgovor) 14:50, 12 august 2016 (CEST)

- Yes, you did, and I acclaim that, but what can we do... I like geography very much although I don't work on it so much. :) I know that you would do more if you knew Bosnian [as I would do in Ukrainian Wiki – I can read Ukrainian and Russian normally and even understand a bit(s) of them,, but the speaking part is something different :-)] and I (and the rest of guys here) appreciate that. – KWiki (razgovor) 16:05, 12 august 2016 (CEST)
Привет Fessor. I saw what happened to your contributions from month of August for Bosnian Wikipedia regarding "Ukrajinske oblasti". I asked administrators to bring back all those articles you worked on, and they were very nice to return them again on our list of articles. I will work more on all your articles regarding provinces in Ukraine. My suggestion to you is, if you are willing to work on all those Ukrainian provinces from our list that you did not yet, and I will personally expand them, so they look more presentable. I hope this is fair offer, and you just do what you did with previous articles. Don't worry about Bosnian language. You just start them, and I will finish them. Please let me know. I already began to work on "Черкаська область" (bosnian Čerkaška oblast). You may look at the chart on the bottom of the page, and finish all those remainig provinces in Ukraine.
