Potres u Kašmiru 2005. godine (poznat i kao Južnoazijski potres ili Veliki pakistanski potres) je bio potres velikih razmjera sa centrom u Azad Kašmiru (Pakistanski Kašmir) i Sjeverozapadnoj pograničnoj proviniciji. Dogodio se u 08:50:38 po pakistanskom standardnom vremenu (03:50:37 UTC) dana 8. oktobra 2005. godine. Registrovan je kao potres jačine ili 7,6 ili 7,7 po Richteru, što ga čini sličnim onome koji je pogodio San Francisco 1906. godine, Kuetu 1935. godine, te Gudžarat 2001. godine. Od 8. novembra, službeni izvještaj Vlade Pakistana o smrtnosti glasio je 79.000 mrtvih, dok službe govore o dodatnih 1.400 žrtava na indisjkom dijelu Džamua i Kašmira, te četiri osobe koje su poginule u Afganistanu.
