George W. Bush

Bušizam (engl.: bushism) je jedna od mnogobrojnih neobičnih riječi, fraza, malapropizama, semantičkih i jezičnih grešaka koje su se desili tokom javnog govora predsjednika SAD-a Georgea W. Busha. [1][2] kao i njegovog oca Georgea H. W. Busha.[3][4]Ovaj izraz je postao dio narodnog folklora i koristi se u mnogim knjigama i blogovima na internetu. Često se koristi kako bi se karikirala ova dva predsjednika.

Karakteristike [uredi]

Neke od uobičajenih karakteristika bušizama uključuje:

  • korištenje riječi koje zvuče poput namjenjene riječi ali ne odgovaraju kontekstu (npr. malapropizam, kao što su "nukularna energija hlača" (eng.: nucular power pants) umjesto "nuklearna elektrana (eng.: "Nuclear power plants")[5]), ili totalna promjena značenja rečenica prilikom korištenja riječi "devaluacija" (devaluation) umjesto deflacije (deflation).[6] ili korištenje riječi OPEC umjesto APEC (Azijsko-Pacifička Ekonomska Kooperacija)[7].
  • Stvaranje neologizama kao što je "takularan" ("tacular"[8][9][10] (portmanteau od "taktičan" i "nuklearan")
  • Povremeno korištenje spunerizma kao što je "pješane moruke" (umjesto "mješane poruke" - engl.: "mexed missages" (mixed messages)) i "tarijere i barife" umjesto "barijere i tarife (eng.: "terriers and bariffs", odnosno "barriers and tariffs).[11]
  • Narodna množina (pluralizacija) poznatih izraza ("suiciders",[12] i "Internets"[13][14].
  • Korištenje neformalnog jezika kako bi opisao svoj posao: "I'm a commander guy" (Ja sam momak zapovjednik)[15][16].
  • Redundantna ili čudna konstrukcija rečenice kao npr. "Imali smo priliku posjetiti Teresu Nelson koja je roditelj i mama i tata." (eng.: "We had a chance to visit with Teresa Nelson who's a parent, and a mom or a dad.")[17]
  • Objašnjavanje očiglednog: "Cijenim održavanje. To je ono što radiš kada se kandiduješ za predsjednika, moraš se održati." (eng.: "I appreciate preservation. It's what you do when you run for President, you've got to preserve.")[18]
