Trent (engleski: River Trent) je treća najduža rijeka Ujedinjenog Kraljevstva. izvire u Staffordshireu , na južnom rubu Biddulph Moora. Teče kroz Sjeverni Midlands i ulijeva se u estuarij Humber. Rijeka je poznata po dramatičnim poplavama nakon oluja i proljetnog topljenja snijega, što je u prošlosti često uzrokovalo promjenu toka rijeke.
Duga je 298 kilometra i prolazi kroz Stoke na Trentu, Stone, Staffordshire, Rugeley, Burton-upon-Trent, Nottingham, Newark-on-Trent i Gainsborough prije nego što se spoji s Yorkshire Ouseom kod Trent Fallsa i formira estuarij Humber, koji se ulijeva u Sjeverno more između Kingstona upon Hulla u Yorkshireu i Imminghama u Lincolnshireu.Rijeka zajedno sa rijekom Uz gradi estuar Humber često se karakterizira kao granica između Midlandsa i Sjeverne Engleske ("Sjever"),[1][2] i uliva u Sjeverno more ispod Kingston Halla.
Rijeka Trent je u historiji značajno mijenjala tok. Na njoj se ponekad javlja efekat povratnog plimskog talasa.
