Ekosocijalizam

Ekosocijalizam (također poznato kao zeleni socijalizam, socijalistička ekologija, ekološki materijalizam ili revolucionarna ekologija) jest ljevičarska politička ideologija, koja uz socijalizam zauzima i stavove zelenih politika.

Ekosocijalisti vjeruju da je kapitalizam doveo do zagađivanja okoliša, socijalne nejednakosti i siromaštva. Ekosocijalisti su mišljenja da je se kod kapitalizma radi isključivo o imperijalizmu svjetskih sila.

Ekosocijalisti su mišljenja da je kapitalistički sistem i u osnovu neujedinljiv sa principima održivosti i zelenog prelaza. Po takvoj teoriji neprihvatljive su tržišne ideje zelenog prelaza, kao "zelena ekonomija", jer se smatraju samo manjim tehničkim popravcima, a ne struktrunoj reformi kapitalizma.

Ekosocijalisti se zalažu za raspad kapitalizma, zajedničko vlastništvo proizvodnih sredstava od strane slobodno ujedinjenih proizvođača i povratak zajedničkog vlastništva općenito.

Historija

1880-1930

Ekosocijalisti su ponovo pregledali Marxova pisana djela i došli do zaključka da je Marx bio prvi, koji je imao ekološki pogled na svijet, mada je među ekosocijalistama postojali i oni koji su bili mišljenja da je Marx imao manjkav pogled po pitanju zaštite okoliša.

Zelenije usmjereni su postojali i među Boljševicima, ali je takve ljude Komunistička partija Sovjetskog Saveza obično likvidirala.

William Morris, engleski romanopisac, pjesnik i dizajner, smatra se u velikoj mjeri zaslužan za ono što su kasnije nazvali ekosocijalizam.
