Edith Norma Shearer (11. augusta 1902 – 12. juna 1983) bila je kanadsko-američka glumica koja je aktivno glumila od 1919. do 1942. Često je glumila hrabre, seksualno oslobođene žene. Pojavila se u adaptacijama Noëla Cowarda, Eugenea O'Neilla i William Shakespearea, i bila je prva petostruko nominirana za Oscara za glumu, osvojivši nagradu za najbolju glumicu za Raspuštenicu (1930).

Recenzirajući njen rad, Mick LaSalle ju je nazvao feminističkom pionirkom, ili "primjerom sofisticirane moderne ženstvenosti i... prvom američkom filmskom glumicom koja je učinila da je šik i prihvatljivo biti sama, i ne biti djevica na ekranu".
