Funkcija

Ovaj gen kodira člana beta podjedinica porodice prefoldina. Kodirani protein jedna je od šest prefoldinskih podjedinica molekuskog šaperonskog kompleksa koji veže i stabilizira novosintetiziranih polipeptida, čime im se omogućuje pravilno savijanje. Kompleks, koji se sastoji od dvije alfa i četiri beta podjedinice, čini dvostruki sklop beta-listova sa šest upredenih zavojnica.
