Funkcija
[uredi | uredi izvor]Ovaj genski proizvod je sekvencnospecifični protein koji se vezuje za jednolančanu sekvencu DNK. Preferirano se veže za jedan lanac purin-bogatog elementa zvanog PUR, koji je prisutan na početku replikacije i u regijama koje okružuju gene u raznim eukariotima, od kvasaca do ljudi.
Stoga je uključen u kontrolu i replikacije i transkripcije DNK. Delecija ovog gena povezana je s mijelodisplazijskim sindromom i akutnom mijelogenom leukemijom.[6]
