Gross (2018) mapirao je gen PMFBP1 na hromosomu 16 , regija q22.2, na osnovu poravnanja sekvence PMFBP1 (GenBank BC028423) sa genomskom sekvencom (GRCh38).[ 7]
Ohuchi et al. (2001) izvijestili su da se mišji Pmfbp1 gen nalazi na hromosomu 8.[ 8]
Dužina polipeptidnog lanca je 1.022 aminokiseline , a molekulska težina 119.033 Da [ 9] .
